Public Meeting and Panel Discussion on Oil & Gas Research
On April 7, HEI Energy hosted an in-person public meeting and panel discussion for the research team of a recently completed study to share their study design and findings. This event was open to all individuals who were be interested. In 2021, HEI Energy funded independent research on how people in the Northern Front Range of Colorado might be exposed to noise and chemicals from unconventional oil and gas development. The study, “Measuring and Modeling Air Pollution and Noise Exposure Near Unconventional Oil and Gas Development in Colorado,” has concluded and the research team shared the results.

Research poster viewing
During this time, attendees were invited to view posters about various aspects of the research. The research team was available to discuss their findings and answer questions.
Panel discussion
The research team presented their research in a panel discussion format, with slide presentations highlighting the study results and significance of the work. Attendees were invited to ask questions or comment during this discussion.
Continued poster viewing and mingling
After the panel discussion, attendees were invited to continue viewing posters and ask questions that may have been inspired by the panel discussion.
