Request for Qualifications and Proposal for Quality Assurance Oversight
The Health Effects Institute (HEI) and Health Effects Institute Energy (HEI Energy) are seeking contractors to provide quality assurance services for their funded studies.
The missions of the HEI core air pollution and health program and HEI Energy are to provide high-quality, impartial, relevant scientific information on the health effects of air pollution and on potential exposures and health effects from unconventional oil and gas development (UOGD), respectively. As accurate scientific conclusions depend on the validity of the underlying data and the precision with which it is reported, HEI and HEI Energy use third-party quality assurance (QA) oversight with studies that involve human subjects and other studies that have a high potential for use in regulatory decisions.
The RFQPs linked below provide details on the studies, audit needs, and application instructions.
The RFQP for the HEI core program covers studies investigating diverse studies on topics including accountability of air quality regulations, wildfire exposures and health effects, and effects of COVID restrictions on air quality and health. For more information, please contact Anna Rosofsky.
The HEI Energy RFQP covers studies that assess potential links between community exposures to noise and chemicals in air and water and specific UOGD processes. For more information, please contact Allison Patton.
The deadline for statements of qualifications is April 4, 2022. Please distribute widely.
