June 2023 Quarterly Research Updates Now Available
We are pleased to share the June 2023 Quarterly Research Updates summarizing progress with human exposure research in communities around the country affected by oil and gas development.
Three research teams known as the TRACER collaboration continue air quality and noise monitoring to understand community exposures in oil and gas regions of Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. Simultaneously, the collaboration’s work continues on the TRACER model to predict emissions from oil and gas development and how these emissions affect local and regional air quality. Two research teams have made substantial progress in assessing water-related community exposures in Colorado and western Pennsylvania. They are using existing publicly available water quality data combined with modeling to predict how oil and gas development might contaminate community water supplies.
Thank you for your continued interest in the research funded by HEI Energy.
